When you think of 5-time Grammy winner Michael McDonald - the first thing that comes to mind is that voice. Distinctive and soulful, it is one of the most emotive instruments of our time. To this add formidable songwriting and keyboard skills, and you have an artist who has been a singular musical presence for four decades.

From his work with Steely Dan, over the course of four classic albums, from Katy Lied to Gaucho, McDonald became an integral part of the group’s sound, singing background vocals on FM staples like “Black Friday” and “Peg.”

Then, in the mid-‘70s, McDonald joined The Doobie Brothers, helping the band redefine their funky R & B sound as a singer, keyboardist and songwriter on such classic singles as “Takin’ It To The Streets,” “Minute By Minute” and “What A Fool Believes.”  Going on to solo success with  “I Keep Forgettin’” and the Grammy-winning duet with James Ingram “Yah Mo B There.”

Grammy award winner Boz Scaggs’ combination of rock, jazz, blues and R&B have created a trademark sound and distinctive career that has spanned over 30 years and countless accolades. With classics like “Lowdown,”  “We’re All Alone,” It’s Over,” “Look What You’ve Done to Me,” and of course “Lido Shuffle, ” Boz Scaggs’ latest project is Speak Low.
